With only having the third nut flush draw with the OESD then for me this is a snap fold.Only due to the fact that you have no idea if your flush draw is even live. If the A had been a spade instead of the J or 10 then you would have had 13 nut drawing outs making you 3 to 1 to win against a hand you are behind to which is still not great but possibly worth a gamble.

My main advice would be DO NOT ever play NLO.If this had been PLO then the most the bet could have been was 600 and you could have taken the call on the turn with a good chance of hitting on the river but without risking more than a third of your stack in total. The opponent made the right move on the turn to take away all your odds which would have been impossible in pot limit.

Also preflop i would like to see a raise with this hand. It is a strong enough hand despite the dangler and you would be better served narrowing the field down preflop instead of trying to second guess your opponents holdings down the streets.Sometimes the cheapest way to get off a pot is by betting and not calling.

    NL Omaha?

Why would you play NL in Omaha?

NL removes the WHOLE point of Omaha, & our edge is massively reduced.

How long does a NL Omaha DYM last - 2 minutes?

Omaha is just not a game designed to be played as NL, as it takes all the skill out of it.

It's like driving a Ferrari for the daily commute in London - it just makes no sense!

If you want to play Omaha, play PL, if NL is your thing, then Hold Em is the game to play.

Very few players seem to apprciate the subtleties & nuances of PL these days.

To imagine the difference, think of One Day Cricket as NL, & Test or County Cricket as PL.

Hi tikay, NL omaha is alot easier imo. because more likely people will go for flips likely you can cash just folding your way through

also gives plenty of good opportunities to bluff and protecting your hands eg. when you hit a set unlike above when others have only got the 1 draw

i appreciate your advice here i really do i just prefer NL omaha due to it being easier imo

In regards to how long it lasts it used to be less but now just the same as any other DYM most the time 20 mins or so

As you have probably figured out you totally butchered that last hand. Preflop you have a  weak hand and so the limp in is about the only aspect which i approve of here. You flopped middle set on just about the most coordinated board imaginable. I like your lead out to find out where you were but as soon as the shove came in you should have snap folded because basically you have very little and are on a weak draw.

Look at kelly's hand and you will see gold.A good starting hand that wasnt overplayed and when the flop came they have the nuts plus extensions plus redraws, in otherwords omaha heaven.Plus they also had what you did not a killer card hence you were drawing totally dead on the turn. Hands that include PP look very pretty but as you know even a set is not usually good enough so they need to be played cautiously. When you called the all-in there were only 2 possibilities firstly you were ahead and against a flush draw or bottom set or you knew you were behind and were hoping to get lucky. With 5 players left in a DYM why are you trusting to luck for survival when you will get much better spots. Next time fold on the flop and wait for a better spot which will arrive.

Hi colin thanks i thought as much :-)

reason for call is over commited and thought pair the board and i would take the pot, i realised up against possible made hand and draws galore just felt like i had a few outs although not enough to warrant it

kelly did play that well aswell
