Priority Club

edited December 2010 in Poker Chat
Is this a new thing, or is it just because Ive earned 10k points last month.  As thats the first time Ive hit 10k points I`m not sure.  Whatever, It`s a good thing that Sky are meeting us halfway on the 10k cfp increment, cheers

Yeah I think its new, I got the email yesterday. Sounds good to me. I might ring my "Account manager" at 3am and ask for food to be sent to my room :-)

great idea... i think it should also be extended to take account of mtt and sng players who are measured against a different (lower) calibrated scale of points.  the efforts of tallytink, pcr, shy-boy, 4fingersaa. bar4004 and solack should also be acknowledged in this way.  good idea.

I think this is an excellent idea.  Ufortunately something I won't ever qualify for lol, but still a wonderful offer for those that do.

yes its an excellent idea to reward loyal cash players

mtt players sng players have no chance

i played around 10 tournys every day through november including every 8.oclock every tsp

all the big bounty hunters  so nearly 300 tournys and got 4,000 poker points

so can some please explain how any one but cash players can benefit from this

+1, good point, it doesn't affect me because I don't even earn 1000 points per month, but this is totally skewed towards cash players, all the MTT/STT specialists have no chance.

You play cash, your rake more for the site.... simples

i also play hundreds of stts but theres no way on this planet i will get near 10kpp

seems to be more of a high stakes cash player priority club

They probably can't.  The loyalty aspect of this comes through mainly cash players earning Sky thousands in rake every month.  It's an incentive for them to make Sky even more and at the same time earn more themselves.  It's pretty standard throughout the poker industry.  Although mtt players may be 'loyal' to the site, they just aren't making Sky the thousands cash players are.  Simple economics really.  Same as a good salesman who earns 10x more for the company he works for than a bad saleseman can expect to receive more back from said company is wages and perks.

ive no prob with this but when it comes to the said players getting an automatic entry to the spt events if they wish to pay the buyin because they cant or if they do play a sat they might loose money instead ove playing at a cash table where they can be winning money.what are sky trying to say to players who have to go to work for a living and cant play cash allday and dont have a chance ove making 10,000 pionts.thanks for trying better luck next time.a very dissapionted del

tourny players can make it you just have to play enough, if you 8 table for 20 hours a week i guarantee u will make it.

Never knew about this, if i did i would of grinded a bit more the final day, as i finished on 9800 points for the month!lol. I only play Heads up sit n goes, and never really put in as much volume as i should of, so its not impossible for a sit n go player  to get 10k points for the month, you just have to put in the volume.

Can someone explain to me what the 25% cash for points boost means exactly? Thanks in advance.

I think it only starts this month.

The 25% is a cash boost for your rakeback. If you made 9800 points then you will receive £200 rakeback, with the extra 25% you will get an extra £50 (as its 25% of £200). So you will rake back 250 instead of 200

Couple of questions, i presume this is open to everyone? For some reason I don't receive any marketing from Sky anymore (i'm not opted out).

Is there now a C4P increment at 10k, i presumed there would be, but it still looks the same to me (8k/12k) It's ridic if they have not inc this, you may aswell set the priority level at 12k!

In addition, it is more than possible for STT/MTT players to make it, i haven't made 10k recently, however with this new promotion it may well get me to play the vast majority, if not all of my poker on here (which is obv the idea)

Check to make sure the box hasn't accidentally been ticked, this happened to me recently.  Also make sure that they have the correct email.  If both are OK give Customer Care a call, i'm sure they can sort it for you.

There is no 10k cfp increment, but if you hit 10k points, you go into the priory.  Once in there, you get 25% bomus on top of cfp, so now....

    8k points = £200
    10k points = £250
    12k points = £437.50

Are you sure,? does the 25% bonus only apply to the points accrued above 10000 not the ones below?

Good point, now you mention it, I`m not sure.  You need 10k points to qualify for the priory for the next month, so I suppose if ur already in it, then you get 25% on whatever points u earn for that month.  Nice 1 looney

I'm 100% sure its 25% extra for any amount of C4P earnt in a calendar month. Not 25% extra for the points over 10k....But obviously players will need to continue to rake 10k points per month to remain a priority and gain the extra 25% .....
