Pocket Rockets & the Pendulum of Broken Dreams
Once upon a time, in a land of broken dreams lived two twin brothers known as the pocket rockets.
They had been cast away to a life of misery because their expectations were too great. Although they were twins, they each had a subtle difference, but it was very difficult to tell them apart, so they decided they would each dress in a different suit of armour.
Their coat of armour was hearts & spades. Depressed at being outcasts, they decided to form an alliance. Together they felt like they could take on the world and at times it seemed they would be unstoppable. They fought many battles, storming in at the drop of a hat or slowly creeping up on their enemy and taking them by surprise.
Sometimes they would each form an alliance with other warriors of a similar suit of armour and wreak havoc on their enemies but only together did the world fear their awesome power.
One day one of their long fought enemies “Jack Diamond” decided he had had enough of being bullied and beaten by the pocket rockets and decided to form his own alliance. He got together with “Jack Spade” & “Jack Club” to formulate a plan.
There was also another Jack “Jack Heart” but they had not heard from him for a long time so decided to take on their enemy themselves. Their plan was to wait until the pocket rockets decided to move towards them slowly, two of the jacks stayed together whilst the other jack hid away waiting to surprise them.
The pocket rockets saw the two jacks together and decided to challenge them thinking it would be an easy victory. They ran towards the jacks who looked at each other and “Turned” and ran towards the river. As they reached the river they could hear the pocket rockets shouting and screaming “We have you now jacks” “We have you now”.
The jacks stopped at the river to face their enemy, but just as the pocket rockets were about to pounce the third jack jumped up out of the river to take them by surprise. Now the pocket rockets were out numbered and had to retreat. “At last” the jacks cried, the pendulum has swung the other way. Never again shall we be scared of our enemy.
Moral of the story: If your holding pocket aces the river may determine the outcome

Can someone tell me how to post a link that's just in my own words please? I've played about with that wee link button below but am jiggered if I can work it out.
