What would you do?

edited December 2010 in The Poker Clinic
OK, £1 reg 6 S&G...  3 fish gone out early blinds still low 3rd place is sitting out (I hate these guys so I've xxxed his name too).  We've both got him dominated so we can run him out as long as we stay honest with each other.  Saying that, 2nd place only gets your cash back +some micro.  So what would you do here?

    I called because:
    i. Why put me all in with AA or KK?  I figured he had TT or JJ and as I always play for the win rather than getting my fee back felt the race was value.
ii.  Rest of the game image- If I fold here I make he too strong and he will 4 bet me everytime.

I probably call 2, although 3rd place gets nothing at these level you can pretty much define your ahead 90% of the time worst comes to worse they have pp and you have 2 overs. I go for the win not just to cash

I'd also like to re-iterate why would you fold? im assuming your on about equity or other things? or the value per chip you need to win 75% to be profitable what not but im not very good at understanding this

Think we're on the same wave length here.  I can't see the point in trying to ladder when I have the opportunity to win the game here.  If he's got me dominated (only 2 hands I think) then good luck to him!  If he sucks out well that's poker.  I just typed "GL" and called with my fingure crossed (and for some reason I found myself holding my breath until that river cards dropped!)

The only thing that really annoyed me in this game is that the 'sit out' ended up taking 2nd.
