Whats better value for your stake?
So on one of the other sites i use there is a phased sit and go.... works like this:
Phase 1: (10 seater - 10 people max) - buy in $4, places 1&2 get tickets to phase 2, places 3-5 get another go at a phase 1 tourny, rest go out. 1,500 starting stack -8 min blinds
Phase 2:(10 seater 10 max)either use phase 2 tickets or buy in $12 - top 2 places get tickets to phase 3, 3rd-5th get another try at phase 2, 6th to 8th drop down to phase 1. 1,500 starting stack - 8 min blinds
Phase 3: (10 seater - 10 max) either use phase 3 tickets or buy in for $29.75 - top 3 get tickets to phase 4, 4th-5th get another go at phase 3, 6-7th drop to phase 2, 8th drops to phase 1. 2000 starting stack with 10 min blind levels
Phase 4: (10 seater, 10 max) use phase 4 tickets or buy in for $59.50 - top 2 win tickets to final phase, 3rd-4th get another shot at phase 4, 5th and 6th drop to phase 3, 7th to phase 2....8th and your out. 2,000 chips - 12 min blinds
Final phase:(6 seater 6max) buy in for $160 or use final phase tickets. Prize pool of £972 split as follows: 1st $486, 2nd $291.60, 3rd $194.40....rest are out. 2,500 chips - 15 min blinds
All tickets won can be used whenever and do not expire.
Couple of questions - firstly is it better value to play something like this or buy in for $4/£2 to a MTT
Secoundly how do you play each stage - ive just won a phase 2 so have a phase 3 ticket, won both phase 1 and 2 by playing the same as i would a lower stake DYM on here - tighter than a ducks bum.
