8K Sky Sports Deepstack v £5.50 Deepstack

I managed to qualify for the 8K Sky Sports D/S via the league stars freeroll, however, I was multitabling in the 8.15 £5.50 deepstack at the same time. I had pocket queens and inst shoved to a raise pre-flop.

Looking back at the hand, was I right to shove pre-flop?
I know if I had re-raised and oppo shoved over the top all of the chips would have went in anyway.
But how about a flat call with QQ, could I have taken it down on the flop?

Ok - as it is the flop is great, but what if it was a A or K high flop? all if and buts, but I can't help thinking I really didn't make the most of this hand.

that  shove pre is totally and utterly ridiculous.

raise a standard size.  he flats.  you go all in flop.  EZ game.

i would have raised as oppoed to shove suprised anyone but aces/kings can call this bet

got in good just ul, I prefer to 4 bet then shove. as your so deep losing alot of value just shoving in this spot.

    Donk :p

    You're probably right Scotty.

What if shoves over the top when I raise? Should I be laying them down?

No player in the £220 d/stack is ever gonna call you here unless you are crushed.

You're gonna have to play flops with them, there's no way of avoiding it.

I'd play tight really early on, and use the time between now and the big one to read up on/practise shove and calling ranges - spots to steal blinds, to re-raise/re-shove light and then hope when it comes to the big one, you win you're flips, get some big hands, and run good if u get it in behind.

I'd advise that to prepare for the big deepy, u play some speed/velocity tournys.

There's no way you can learn to play post flop like LjamesL, cowgomoo, offshoot etc in just a couple of weeks, so play to your strengths, minimize their edge, and u might just bink a 2nd place like meeeeeeeeee :)

vwd for qualifying btw !!! - ull be excited/nervous on the day !!!!

ouch trev that second one stinks a bit, i probably do my stack there but different

only thing different i would shove there re-raise on the turn, same result just unlucky mate you played it strongly

    cooler hand 2 imo

i wouldn't be but can see why some people would.  depends on reads on the player.  against a random then no, if someone i know who's a nit then yes.  he opens for 180 we should be going like 500-600 which IIRC leaves us 60bb behind so we can fold.

it was a very loose call from the villain with AQ.  usually you only get called there if crushes/flippign with AKs
