you set it up for the perfect shove on river and then what happened??? if your playing this move u need to be betting 3/4 pot on turn or check calling not donk betting! and then shove river and see him fold unless freeroll

Honestly I would just fold to his flop reraise. Even though you had the best hand if he's a decent player he's likely to have an overpair here. On the river I'm definitley checking now and praying he checks behind (and I'm expecting to lose)! Nothing shouldcall a shove on the river that you beat anyway. What hand are you expecting him to call a shove with that you beat? 22, 33???

You were lucky to win the hand IMO.

if hes a decent player he could have any hand here, you cant presume that hes going to have an overpair every time your just going to lose long term. i do however just check the end, hes either got 2 over cards (which he did have) in which case your not getting a caller if you bet or your splitting the pot.

OK didn't put that quite right last time - I don't exactly presume he's got an overpair - it's just that it's not worth finding out. It's early on and hero has committed very little to the pot. Villian is repping an overpair all the way. It's just not worth going broke with a shoddy top pair bad kicker this early when you find he is legit. Also, even if he is bluffing with overcards, often he's not going to put many more chips in the pot. Usually he sticks a bluff in on the turn and then gives up. You win about 1200. If Hero continues after the turn then hero is going be pot committed and lose 3000 if villian is legit.
