greg did post lol saying bad beats on here with a yawn lol half of my sack, 3rd of my chip sack, i thought it was pure buff or 66 or 77 i went 4 the buff

i posted something then deleted it cos it was nonsense. I misread the hand thought your opponant called with A6.

I agree with beaneh nice call, ul.

ok greg and beaneh thanks 4 the feed back

fwiw player xxx is a douchebag, flatting 1/3 stack raise with A6 after a early pos raiser and a caller, flop action is a bit sick cos u dunno what the player behind is gonna do, i suppose u have to call, but id shove to isolate and prevent any more (marginal) action, if xxx had a bigger stack then id fold....

Raise less pre like 1000-1200 or just shove pre. 1600 gives your hand away and makes it awkward post flop.

As for wether the call is good I dunno, depends on reads. I call HU but with a player to act behind (as is the case) I'm not so sure. Probably OK I guess

julie i understand what you are saying but i was on the button so wouldnt that hide my hand more and tbh i am a button raiser with any hands

  • edited December 2010
well if you say that you raise the button with alot of garbage then you want to be raising a smaller amount to give you a better price on stealing the blinds and make your bluffs cheaper

i was 2x the raises before and i was geting called with rubbish like 45os  and started 2 do 1600 and the 1st 1 i got the blinds and then 2nd this happens lol but i no where u come lolraise plus im not a massive fan of aq

Well if you raise 4x every time you won't give away what you're raising with. But surely you don'r want to raise so much every time?? Also it's very awkward post flop like I said. Say just one of them calls - you get a 4000 pot and 7000 chips behind you. You'll miss 2/3 of the time. This a nightmare to play when you miss. If you raise to 1000 pre you'll have a pot of 3000 max and 7500 behind you - A bit of room to C-bet and fold or whatever.

Also, those calling stations/fish will often just call if they've got a pretty hand. Often, whether you raise 1000 or 1600 it won't make much difference if they fold or call pre.
