Not fun when "someone" bad beats the whole table and ruins the game! :(

At least I stayed out of his way...

They won't. It wasnt a TV table.

No way Sky can start showing 25/50£ hands surely.

They wont show it. If they did it would be very very bad.
  • edited December 2010
i reckon they will show it, top of the pots ftw

if your worried about showing it dont play that high imo
  • edited December 2010
If it was a master cash table then fair enough.

It wasn't though so would be unfair to show it.

If you sit at a mastercash table you know your play may get shown, but not where they were playing.

That's why I dont play on them as I have a rep as a nit, but don't want everyone to see what hands I play.

The way i see it, if its the biggest pot ever on sky? they should show it, this could also bring in some more high stakes players imo

I can understand if they do not show it, especially as was on a non tv table. I am guessing sky would have to phone both involved and would be down to them whether they show it.

I personally think its good advertisement for Sky but bad for the player so can see both sides

if i had lost a pot that big on a river 2 outer i wouldn't care if it was shown on TV.  id still be crying in the corner in the fetal position for at least 3 weeks.

I am pretty sure if they show it they are breaking some sort of law. You agree to your hands being shown on the MC tables...not on the others.

Probably correct, but if someone on the table were to put in a hand request then I think they would show it

They would probably be breaking Alderney Gambling Control Commission regulations if they did.

I don't know who was involved in the hand/hands, but if you were? then try and make sure, if possible, that it's not shown on TV, but it is quite possible that someone has recorded it?. There are a lot of sad people on here, wanna be poker players etc, who will push to see it, e-mails, phone calls, forum threads etc, try not to give them ( if you can ) the satisfaction, after all they're just being nosey, and it's nothing to do with them.
    Kind regards

lol get over it guys! £13000 to the top high stake players is like £13 to us, its all relative!! if you cant take a bad beat (and im sure the losing player did) dont play the stakes

why do i get a feeling that part of this post was a dig at me recording my games?

anyways interesting discussions guys - on a question to the players who where on the table - if they where in the hand (i dont know who all was - i know the winner as i seen the stacks when i showed) - IF THEY WHERE in the hand would they really grumble at the hand being shown?

When sky show hands in the poker clinic or on the play my hand requests not all those are on TV tables, and I'm pretty sure sky don't go asking each player who was at the table for their permission for it to be shown. Therefore I really doubt they would be breaking any rules if they did decide to show this.
