How would you play this?

While doing quite well in the £2000 \BH, I cam up against the chip leader with double amount of chips as what I had. I was roughly on 34,000 chips and the chip leader had 70,000. I recieved pocket AA for a starting hand against the chip leader who raised up from 1000 - 3000 chips. I then re-raised up to 5000. The flop came down with a King showing. I tried to buy the pot with a large raise but was instantly called with an all-in from the chip leader. I called his raise only to find he had trip kings with another to follow. Could I have played that any other way or is that just tough luck. The hand in question is #322447794.Cheers,

yeah you could have folded to his all in.

the question is, can any one do this, and I think the answer is no, well maybe a few people, but no for 99% of players.

I think I would have played it a similar way to yourself and I also would have lost all my chips.

I think they call this type of hand a "cooler"

when we have AA on a king high flop you shouldnt be trying to 'buy the pot' you should be trying to get called by worse hands
