Turbo Heads Up Sit and Go Stats

edited January 2011 in Poker Chat
Ive been playing a lot of £5 heads up turbos over the last few weeks having a lot of time on my hands and nothing better to do!

Anyway here are my results for the last month:

Played 836, Av Stake $8, Av Profit $1, ROI 7%, total profits after rake $547 (about £340).

This is a question to the experts at what stage can you consider this game and level as cracked (is 800 games a good enough sample) and move up to £10 heads up turbos. I was planning on moving up when I have £500 in my sky account.

Thoughts please.

Stats have been dented and i havent recovered yet. Seriously though my heads up game is played on instinct, can you recommend a good book to take me up to the next level.

    Thanks

    PS enjoy the cricket later.

Hey gooner, I've played you a few times, I think we're about even,...........

Is that graph of yours specifically for HU turbo's? Is there a way to filter out all other game types?

I would love to see mine, but I play all sorts of sngs/mtts to mess the results up......

I've been playing the turbo HU 5/10 quid games for ages now - I tried getting a strategy discussion going in the poker clinic, but nobody seems interested. I spose they aren't the most popular game going.

Would like to talk about strategy in more detail with someone with lots of experience playing them, even better with experience on sky.

PM me, or post here if you're interested and I'll suggest a couple of ways we could do it.

    Cheerz.

I would suggest playing another 500-1k games and see what your results are like. A bigger sample size will really show if you are a winning player. Plus are you ready to move up? I mean losing 4-5 buy ins is pretty standard at these turbo heads up games, so are you ready for the swings? Btw im no expert or anything, just my view as i play these.

If you're a winning tournament player it's well worth investing some of your profits in a Sharkscope subscription, you get do all sorts of very useful and detailed analysis on your own results as well as your opponents. For a STT specialist it will easily pay for itself many times over by helping you make game selection decisions.

    Hi gaza559,

Ive seen you grinding away at higher limits, and the answer to your question is I put down 2% of bankroll for each sit and go. I have moved up to £10 with limited sucess, but I was playing 2 £5 games a time and with the 12 seconds thinking time I was occasionally mucking good hands. If the bankroll falls away naturally I will have to move down a level.

I was reading on another forum that after 1000 games that roi has 83% accuracy, ie that means even with a 17% margin on my roi I am still in profit. When I make it to 2k games I will post the results but im back at work on tuesday so it will be a while before I get to that landmark.

Thanx for the graph gooner !

Mod's I know you're funny about approving things like this, and people quoting each-others stats, but if you're in any doubt about approving the above image or not, please do, as I requested it. (also maybe add a facility to send pictures in a pm)

    GL at the tables..

PS Ace if you don't mind posting my heads up stats that would be really cool.

I am fairly new to poker,so i took a look at sharkscope this morning and found it great.I liked the graft showing if you are winning or losing at different stakes.

I have played over 400 hands and it great to see my graft go higher and higher as i make a nice profit from MTT low stakes im very happy :)
