    My first best moment was coming 2nd in a freeroll out of 1,353, then only the other day I topped it off with a 3rd place in the Santa Sack, winning £200 and a blu ray home cinema set. Maybe that elusive 1st place will come in 2011.

    Starting out as a poker virgin and not busting my original deposit. Thoroughly enjoyed my first months at the game, but can't see me becoming rich or famous as a result.

    Downside - mixing up my user log-in and table alias at registration and getting stuck with Harding10 as a moniker.

    Twice winning a deepstack Tournament after being down to 1000 chips late on.

    Especially pleasing today as three "tactical" aways helped boost my stack .

    Oh i so hate those kind of players, get a big stack , go away and hope to hold onto a cash place.

    Well thank you boys for your kind donations.

    Have a great 2011 everyone.

    2010 has been a great year for me at the tables. Back in January I was still beginner playing micro stakes DYMs. Things changed when I luckboxed a freeroll win and decided to try a few MTTs. It didn't take long to realise that MTTs are much more fun and offer the chance of bigger winnings. With practise and time studying away from the tables my tournament game gradually improved over the months. From late August I took nearly 2 months off poker to do my walk. Taking two poker tournament books on the trip with me was a good idea, since coming back my results have been better than ever and I'm lucky enough to have made some decent profits.

    Two moments in particular stand out;

    1. In August, just a week before my walk, I took my kids to Blackpool for a short break. While we were there I decided to enter a £25 rebuy tournament at the G Casino. It was my first ever live event. 38 of us started at 8pm, 6 and 1/2 hours later at 2-30am I was the short-stack with 3 left standing. I shoved from the button with K8o and the BB called with QJs. After he missed the board and I doubled-up we counted the stacks and found we were all within 1BB of each other, we agreed to split the prize money equally 3 ways. I was ecstatic to make £270 profit that night.

    2. In October Sky very generously gave me a free entry in The Primo. It was my debut in this tournament. Somehow I managed to outlast most of a very strong field and make the final table. At one stage I had Gliterbabe, Cowgomoo and CoxyLBoro in a row to my immediate left, they were all eliminated before me and I eventually took 4th place for just shy of £1K. I don't usually play poker in the evening due to my work hours, that night I had time for just 30 minutes sleep before I had to get up again for work. The adrenhalin of the win was more than enough to keep me going through the night.

    Good luck to all playing at the Sky tables in 2011.
