I think it means that Benyamine knew that he was behind Schwartz in the hand you are referring to but thought he could make him fold due to Luke's standings in the league, as he wouldn't want to risk missing out on a place in the final that he was almost sure to get if he played conservatively. However, Schwartz picked up on this and snap shoved the turn which could have been very foolish but turned out to be the correct play. Love Party Poker league btw!

hi anyone know if the league was recorded ages ago our is still on going as im off to vegas sunday and if its on would love to go watch
He is an idiot really. Playing in the heat last week he said he was the best player at the table and should win the heat easily when Negreanu was there - numpty...
Ive not seen this but im assuming he means to "angle-shoot"?................for example a player reaching for his chips while it is still another players turn to act.............this is a popular way of seeing a free card....................or maybe he has announced that he's going to go all-in on the flop before the flop comes..................angle-shooting is dispacable and nasty and should be part of every poker-players game
i just saw the back end of this when he said it so dont know. I do know though if luke behaved like he does in front of some of the ppl I play with, he wouldnt be walking back to his hotel.

Jaegerbomb: the situation was that, as it's a league format, Schwartz was more fearful of going out than Benyamine (as Benyamine already has the points in the bag)...not sure it was anything to do with "angle-shooting". It's something along the lines of Benyamine calling Schwartz's pre-flop raise with anything as he new Schwartz was fearful of going out?!...I duno, at least it's not just me who doesn't understand the internet poker-kidz!

Can stand people who try to pick on other players or throw huge tantrums when they get outplayed (as in Hellmuth's case), Tony G used to be really bad at tilting people (he was disgraceful at Monte Carlo a few years ago) but he seems to have calmed down a lot and is a bit more witty these days. Devilfish is another that is getting really bad at criticising others play; I'd just tell them to shut the hell up or see if they want to discuss it 'outside' . Nothing worse than idiots who have no class.
schwartz is hilarious, last night was hilarious. seriously how boring would it be if everyone sat there quiet and being nice to each other. he's different and entertaining Posted by pryce6
I agree!
He is a loud mouth ape but fun to watch on tv.
He was out of order last week shouting and swearing in front of an old lady though

Dont get me wrong. Its a reasonable tactic, and Ive lol`d so hard at toni g and luke. Its just a risk vs reward thing, and the pair of them wouldnt have been met outside by anyone theyd have been dragged there
I can't stand the guy but I love watching him. I remember reading that he got banned from a casino for refusing to pay for a sandwhich. FWIW Jesse May thinks he's a gentleman. BTW did anyone see De Wolfe give Hellmuth the "Happy Retiremnt" card? So funny.

Haha Roland is awesome, he loves winding Phil up! Hellmuth should seriously think about it as well the results he has now

Numpty,
Schwartz comes to the table late open raises his first hand on the button and the genius that is Negreanu rr all in with A2s, wtf did he think Luke had? He'd been sitting out to limp to final table. The look on Negreanu's face was priceless when Schwartz called with AA. We all know Ferguson and Ivey are class but thank the poker gods for players like Luke Schwartz.

Yeah I did conveniently forget to mention Daniel didn't last very long to counter my argument lol!!
Having watched Lukes behaviour over the last couple of shows I have to agree it does make good TV. He only played two hands this week but totally stole the show !
But I think he is getting very close to the line of what is acceptable in a poker tournament, and would question whether he would be able to get away with it in a higher status tourny. I cant imagine him doing it in the WSOP or an EPT event.
And even at that top class table I believe that some of the other players were embarrassed even intimidated by him.
With a whole new generation of poker players coming through I would hate to see them following his example and copying him at DTD or my local casino.
