HU hand, just a standard cooler or should the pre all in be avoided

edited January 2011 in The Poker Clinic
OK title a lil scetchy. Late night session with an experianced mate, who wishes his name to be blanked, we're playing free money for banter and this hand crops up.

I said this was just a standard cooler. However my mate rekons, we where too deep for the all in pre.

History wise, both players have been pretty active. Mostly 3-bet pots pre not many 4-bet pots, and all 5-bet pots where by me with opponent folding. Post flop my opponent has outplayed me countless times. Therefore im 100% happy my hand in pre. Takes my desisions away. My opponent has since admitted he felt i had the better of the pre flop play throughout and was clearly trying to call or fold more pre. We have both been pretty tight. Although the odd loose situation.
