Any sky poker tournaments coming to Scotland?
This has come up in quite a few threads. From memory this is a summing up of all the answers from the SPT honcos (I'm not one of them so all I say is open for contradiction). Until this season, the SPT did have a stop in Glasgow. However they jumped from casino to casino I believe and in the opinion of the organisers there is no casino in Scotland that is both capable of putting on a SPT to the level they are looking for and is accessible to the majority of the likely player pool. I seem to remember them saying the one venue they think would be ideal was at somewhere like Inverness, so proper North and too far most of the interested players. I do believe they want to return to Scotland in the future, but need a venue to fit the bill.
However we think we have solved the problem for future SPT years, so you might expect Scotland back on the agenda.
