There are some dreadful rules that need to be stamped out of the game these days like the Prem interfering with a manager's selection and deeming the team he selects as being not good enough to play competitively - I mean he only lost 3-2 at Villa; if it was 8-0 then their may be a slight case but even then it should'nt be upto them and the manager should take full responsibility in that event.
Another rule that annoys me is booking for celebrating with the crowd; it's an atrocious law that needs to be banned now - apparently its for "health & safety" which is utter bs as there's more stewards there at matches these days than fans so nothings gonna happen!
I remember when you could Celebrate a Goal however you liked & you wouldn't get booked, as it was in the Good Spirit of the Game. Nowadays it seems like PC has gone Mad & is ruining our great game.
The FA tell the teams in the Premier League to select 25 man squad (around that i think) so it is not like Ian Holloway has fielded an in eligible player. He has simply used his resources within his 25 man squad. The FA cannot make this 25 man squad rule and fine managers/teams for fielding weakened teams!!!!!
One person has voted Yes Ian Halloway was right to be Fined so can i ask that Person to post his reasoning for his vote then we can have a Discussion about it
I support Man U and i think its an absolute disgrace that Blackpool got fined, and fining Man U will not change that fact.
25 man squad is a 25 man squad and the FA have no right to tell Holloway, Fergie, McCarthy or anyone else who to pick and what is a weakened team.
It is a decision of mind-blowing hypocrisy and incompetence and only someone with a space invader in their bonce would have taken it. Certain governing bodies know SWEET F.A. ABOUT FOOTBALL
if that's the case Don that makes it even worse, money money money that's all it's about these days Posted by scouse_red
you have to see it from the sponsorships point of view tho. The only time they get any real air time on the shirts is when a player is celebrating right infront of the fans/tv camera apparently. So if the player has his top off of is in the crowd people dont see it.
I can tell u who the sponsor is for both teams watching just the kick off but sponsors pay good money to be there so they make the rules init.

i believe that celebrating with the crowd booking is due to sponsorship.

Man utd fields weak team Fine Them
Why tell teams to have a certain ammount of players in their squads if they're not allowed to use who they want when they want ?
Like you say, when the top teams do it nothing happens.
