Question about pot odds? Bad call?
Well I've tried for 15 mins to post the hand from the hand history (and yes I have read the chuffing sticky post about posting your hands on this forum) and all I get is a bunch of code and no pretty pictures of the cards.
I'll describe the hand instead.
After paying twice the big blind to see a flop with Ks Jd four handed I flopped the nut straight Qc Ah Tc. I bet a quarter of the pot as a continuation bet after a short stacked player threw in their last big blind. One folded but the third player went all in making it 5800 more to call for a 12K pot. I put him on a flush draw but am I getting good pot odds from this call.
I called and lost by the way. But that's not what is important

what was your stack?
i would be betting around 3/4 pot on the flop, he could be shoving with a good ace, two pair or a set so its a snap call from me even if i know he has a flush draw.
also, you have the nuts so the pot odds shouldn't come into it, if it was you on a draw then worry about the pot odds
i posted an article on bet sizing in this forum take a look
he has 9 outs yh?
so 9x4 = 36%
so what does he need to have in middle to call is it 3/1?
cuz 40% is a win every 2 in 5
KJos is a very hard hand to play oop - you needed to fold or raise 3 x the min raise - you cant play this multi way effectivally.....and you are likely to get a lot of callers here - which is what happened
post flop you need to raise more than a quarter - knowing the hands aside, you give great odds for all sorts of hands to call here - granted all but one are drawing dead - but still. that bet looks like a drawing bet - he shoved knowing he had the nut draw - didnt think you had a straght - who would
mr big stack can also call off here without worry for his tourney life - meaning its less of a worse call than normal
