is it right over time to risk being out-drawn from a possible draw on the flop?

It depends on whether you had any reads? if you think they would bet out with pair or overpair yes flat, if they bet out their flush draws then i would get it in. With the above its such a dry flop so ok to flat, if against more then 1 i would be getting it in, but you let them hang themselves

    well played

absolutely- provided they're taking the lead, and you know they will. What isn't worth it is sitting around checking monsters in the faint hope someone will bluff you, then calling off your stack when they shove huge bets into you having binked the nuts. In that case, not only are you taking a horrible hit when they bink, but if they don't you're not getting anything anyway.

When you have as strong a hand as a set on a not particularly scary board, allowing your opponent to bet for you is fine.

I think you should raise the turn here, looking at how deep you are.

If you do that you can commit him to get stacks in on the river.

Loads of river cards ruin your action.

You were lucky in this hand, not to hold, but to get paid as generously as you did - but you can make a note for next time, and if you find a hand, and aren't as deep, then taking this line in position against this guy can work.
