A High Flush VS Straight flush - river bet correct? NL4

should i hvae reraised here or just called the min bet - my thinking was lower flushes and some one with a straight.....I had a one in four chance it made a straight flush - so 3/4 times im good no?

    raise the flop. Gutshot+NFD should be happy to get the money in with 2 cards to come.

    Bet more turn - against raising the flop allows this.

    Only the J of clubs beats you but because of flop texture thats likley, however i stll flat with 4 clubs out does worse call?

    You mean of course, only the J of clubs... or KQ/Q10/Q9/99/1010/KK/QQ?

    That minbet is always a horrible, horrible thing to decipher- I can't stand it. I think you should have bet the pot on turn personally, which inflates things a lot more for river since you have the nuts at that point (barring QJ clubs, which is so outside you can discount it) and I'd bet the river too. This is 2p/4p remember, people with small club flushes will call you.

    I think you have to raise with the nut flush, you'll get called by garbage flushes and straights at this level enough to make it profitable. But do bear in mind there are far more hands than the bare J of clubs that beat you.
