Too Nitty or correct Fold at this FT stage?

Personally with that stack i woud get it all in there and then, not gonna have long to wait for better, it's always a tough one though because you fear being crushed :-(

Thurs 10/2/11, £2000 TSP Classic Final Table, 5 players left.
Hand # 340256306, in SB position, short stack, blinds 1500/3000.
Pocket pair 33 with 19674 chips,
Big stack raises 3xBB, which is 50% of my stack, I fold, BB calls.
Flop comes 5s 3d Ad, (too nitty/chance missed or correct fold?)
Only two options to consider, Shove or Fold.

    Plr - Pos - Bet  - Chips

    RK - SB - 1500 - 18174
    M   - BB - 3000 - 42017
    fold
    fold
    J   - Btn - 9000 - 86858
RK - SB - fold     (after long pause)
    M   - BB - call
    Flop 5s 3d Ad     (RK - Arrrrgggghhhh)
    M  - BB   -  3000
    J   - Btn - 12000
    M  - BB   -  9000
    Turn 7c
    M  - BB   - check
    J   - Btn  - All-in
    M  - fold            (RK - Arrrrgggghhhh)

btw, went on to finish 2nd to J.

i think either the shove or the fold are fine in this spot, personally with only the bb left to act i would have shoved, on a ft with the blinds that big i am shoving with any pp. however, u are on the button next and may find a better spot to get ur ur chips in first, i agree with christiann it's always tough one when you have a small pp but 5 handed on a ft it's a shove from me.

well done on finishing second tho, it looks like the fold worked out ok anyway!

    Cheers for the feedback peeps,
In future pocket 33 is Shove, Shove, Shove FTW.

Same again last night MTT 10/12, pocket 33 in SB
faced min raise & call, with big stack in BB,
you guessed, folded, 3 on flop, Arrrgghh.

Next hand JJ on Btn, Shove!, big stack calls with rag A,
    A on flop, goodnight.

So the lesson is, any pair, ESPECIALLY 33, SHOVE-FTW.
