My strategy question is regarding showing cards.... When, if ever, is it a good time to show your cards when you are not obliged to. I, unfortunately, have developed into a habit of showing cards and feel that possibly this could be affecting my profitability, is it? and should i stop?
My reason for showing is to confuse... but does it confuse, or merely give the better players a read on my play.

Greg - Ask yourself this - When you are playing, do you think it helps or hinders when your oppo shows their cards?

How should you determine the level of tournament you should be playing, given that you do have a good enough bankroll to play any level game?
Secondly, at which point do you either go up or down a level.
By which i mean you can see if you are beating a cash level but how do you monitor it for tournies

Tikay could you please explain what i'm doing wrong m8 hand is 190558561 at 9-06pm i got my hat trick for today but for wrong resons twice earlier i was way ahead after turn & twice i got done on river by guys having nothing just as well i've had a good day on poker & footy but seriously tho what do i do m8 score now is 2 for proper poker & 3 for Rubbish
Hi guys, great show, sadly my Open is over already. Two pocket pairs and two losses! A quick question. My "glorious" exit I had a pair of threes, hit my set and lost to a higher set, I know this is unlikely. but it seems to happen quite a lot recently! Is this just bad luck? Ie the times it statisticly could happen all coming at once, or can you get away from bottom set? The hand number was 190559402 and played at 9.07.

First of all I'd like to say congratulations to both Tikay & Richard for their recent cashes.
And now onto my question which is that i've noticed recently that a lot of players who have been knocked out of a tournament are letting the clock run down rather than mucking or showing their losing hand straight away. Do you consider this to be bad etiquette?

Just a quick word ....congratulations to tikay on the primo final table cash,well played.Also a mate of mine used to work in that rendering/slaughter house in irthlingborough and amazingly he still eats meat!! Although his descriptions of the place almost made me want to become a vegetarian but i love my steak and burgers to much.

can i APPOLOGISE to Mogsy1957 for thinking he was playing Rubbish Poker when after watching the hand on the telly i can see it was Proper Poker imo at the time all i saw was full house with ten on river now i see he was sat with 2 pair and had every right to go for it so i hold my hands up and say FAIR PLAY M8 & GL TONITE
btw score for me now is Proper Poker 3 Rubbish Poker 2

Tikay i have got my Final Table Hat Trick for today have just finished 5-00 semi not a lot of runners tho' only winner got through i came 2nd & cashed £17-60
Listened to Yours & Richards advice that you gave me about my betting and how not to get myself into tricky situations and what a difference it has made to my game Tried it out from the start in 5-00 Semi & it worked a treat when i got to final table i had 3x chip lead at HU i was 2 to1 down on chips but was confident i could get them back was up against a very tight player lost to a better 2 pair no worries

Delighted for you. That Flop when you had QQ in the Semi-Final was a bit of a heart stopper eh? Three damonds, & your oppo had the A of diamonds - eeek!
Most enjoyable, & £850 taken down.
Early on, I had a straight Flush, & my Oppo hit the straight - & he Passed for my min bet, well done him, but pah!
Then I ran AJ, all-in pre, into AQ, & binked the J.....
You get the drift - I got lucky, but my form has been bad for a while, & variance just decided I was due.
hahahaaa heee !!
