Sheffield United......

Alright guys i am Sheffield United fan, i huge one in fact go to around 90% of games home and away (not one of these fans who chucks there 2 pennies worth in when they dont even see the game). The results for us this season haven't been great at all 3rd from bottom but...

I think the football at the lane has picked up since Adams has come, from box to box we have matched the teams we have played but haven't scored the goals. 

Take the Leicester Game for example they have one shot on target and score, not taking anything away from the goal the kid took it well (King i think it was). For the rest of that game from then ive never seen us out play a team as much and not score. 

Also with Norwich the same happened.

Just a Thread here to see what the fellow Blades think??

    Nice to see a fellow Blade posting in the FC and hope you read my earlier thread about the appointment of Adams. As for the football being played at the minute I cant comment as unfortunately I only get to a couple of games each season living so far away and currently unemployed. It is however encouraging to see that we are conceding less goals but now seem to have problems finding it lol. Evans looked to be finding some form then injured Cresswell past it and where has Henderson disappeared to he was lynch pin to forward play last 2 seasons I am sure I read that he was on way to recovery about 2 months ago but no sign of him yet. As for defence Morgan is a big miss not just for defence for the whole team as captain.
    Sad reality is we must be favourites to go down at minute with Preston and Scunny, no win in last 11 games but a ray of hope in last 2 home games and Palace not too far ahead of us.

    Nice to see a Blade, well Im going to Palace on Saturday and Scunny on the Tuesday night. I think these two games will be the biggest games that decide our season 6 pointers both of them. As you said the goals have died down under Adams which is a good thing because we conceding goals left, right and centre under Speed. I think the new loan signing are good though, Voakes from Wolves and John Arna Riise's brother both till the end of the season. 

    Ray I would like to know your thoughts on the young Jordan Slew, he's a forward and plays for the England U18's I would be tempted put him on as an impact sub, what you think? Due to he is a Sheffield lad and would be passionate and sitting on the bench wont be doing him anygood.

    Dogdanavic has been coming on with around 30 minutes to go in the last few games and made a real impact and i would be tempted to start him instead of Cresswell, he hasnt been the same since last season where he was our main scorer.

    Like to hear your thoughts

    As an owl I look forward to the derby matches being played again next year when you come down to league 1 : ).

    That's if we don't end up getting relegated too lol.

    Good luck at palace m8 went there when we played this season the away section is a joke your stuck in a corner of a tin shed stand with 6 inch wide wooden seats and the chuffin roof leaks. thought fratton was a dump till i went there.think you will stay up preston and scunny look down and donny are droping like a stone

    Cheers Badboy been to palace before, will be making my first trip down to Portsmouth this season also, me and mates thinking about making a weekend of it? Well if you think Palace is bad you should try Scunthorpe jesus! IVE GOT A SHED AS BIG AS THIS

    dont get to as many games as i used to redundancy/new job/2 promotions means saturdays are out and 6 am starts means eveing aways are a struggle weve got a few home evening games coming up plus got a car load going to bristol city. scunny away last game of season on a sunday so might be tempted by that one lol

    haha bristol is a good day out find the weatherspoons and you'll be fine, get a load on. Well last season when we went we needed to get a load on way we was playing. Plus burger and a pint from weatherspoons mmmmmm couple of quid I think spot on!

    It may be a bit early for Slew but it wouldn't hurt to give him a run out to see how he handles himself with the big boys. Anyway if the lad is any good we will need him next season we don't want Spurs taking him off our hands then discarding him like the Kyle's.
    As for Bogo well he has proved a bit of a damp squid up till the last month or so but don't know how much of that was Speeds fault, but as things stand I would certainly put him in in front of Cresswell, if nothing else he takes a good penno.
    Bad result for us tonight mate with Scunny beatin Forest but we still have all to play for with some of the bottom sides still to play.

    Just got back from Scunny arrive at 12 been a great day until the Football once again.

    Got to say it was pritty impressive to score 2 goals hit the bar with a great strike from riise and still manage to get beat, theres only one team that can get beat like that. 

    Also theres only one team that could concede 3 goals all from set pieces

    Got to say looks like a League 1 tour for me and my mates next season, o well theres still 

    Pompy
    Swansea 
    Preston
    Watford

    To come for away days for me and the lads, hopefully we can salvage some points from the remaining games.

    Also got info from some at lane that were getting Marlon Harewood and 2 Rochdale players in on loan

    Thats all over and out

    not sure if am going yet,

    Do you ever play at g casino in sheffield, went there on sat night for night out, had half an hour on cash tables it was like playing 2p/4p, standard was so poor. But I got bored after 20 min as it was soooo slow and went back to roulette lol.

    Nope cant say i've played live before aiden, just played with mates at houses etc.

    The most live experience ive had was in maths, were me and my mates use to play at the back of the class for 5p's

    Also Aiden I study at Barnsley College yep I am 19 but started work straight after school, is there any live events in Barnsley ever like in pubs etc. 

    My mate told me that there was one in Rileys like every night??

    dunno i never really play live its too slow, a mate of mine used to play at rileys but he says its a bit quiet there recently. but i see signs outside pubs sayin poker nights all over.

    We should be careful of what we wish for mate. I remember saying to you in the chat box that I wish Henderson was fit and you agreeing, well we get our wish and 1st match back within 45 minutes he's booked twice sent off along with Williamson and we do well to come out only 3-0 down lol. He will now obviously be missing for auto 1 match ban against dirty Leeds a must win match. Arggghhh so frustrating from bad to worse and games running out but not over till the fat lady sings I spose.

    You are right AcidMan but the 1 good thing about your old boss is that he sods off when the going gets sticky not like the other greedy bar stewards who sod it up and want paying to the end of their contracts. Small consolation I know lol.
