If you won the lottery would you carry on playing poker?

I know a lot of people on the forum play just for the fun, and don't make a big amount of money if any, but my question is if you won the lottery would you still play?

Ok it's nice to win a bit of money but I started playing because I enjoyed the game and I still love it as much as when I started.

There's no way I'd be able to take cash games seriously.

I'd play the big tournies.

I'd challenge some people on sky to play HU for their BR's too and try and ruin them.

I bet they'd accept too, fingers crossed for Saturday eh lads?

I would carry on playing  , i mainly play tounaments so would take in some of the bigger ones around the globe.Would give me a chance to get back to Vegas and try to get back some of the money i have donated to various casinos over the last few years.

PS Anyone planning on going to Vegas the Aria and MGM Grand have got great poker rooms and a good range of cash games and tournaments.

I'd definitely carry on. I play because I enjoy poker, not for profit. Assuming I packed in work I'd be playing in the ME on here most nights, most weekends I'd play the Sunday majors, and nothing would stop me getting on that plane to Vegas and having a go at the main event.

 I'm sure i could find better uses of my time if i had all the money i needed. I doubt i would have the motivation to play if the money didnt matter and if i was to play stakes where it did matter then i would definitely lose so what would be the point.

Id seriously keep playing, probably at a slightly higher stake and improve my game asap, while playing all decent british events, and probably have a crack at the World Series playing as many events as i could. Return home broke and say, well it was a once in a lifetime opportunity and i took it.

Nope, but I'd need to pack in work! I sleep in the evenings due to my very early start (up by 1-30am 6 days a week).

I can vaguely understand that some people might play less - if there are expensive things they'd rather be doing but can't afford it unless they had a windfall for example.

But it baffles me as to why anybody would stop playing completely - if you don't play poker because you enjoy playing it, why bother playing at all?

I would buy everyone on this site a mug with my face printed on it,then go and lose the rest of money in vegas, spending time in various places like the brothel, casino and getting slashed each night.

i wouldnt be able to value the money i was playing with in the cash games as serious if i knew i had a few million back. i would however travel the world. play a few big tournaments but just travel. id sit in the big game with all the big pros, not to aim to try and beat them. just have a pull up or 2 and live the dream of playing with all of them.
