1) Be realistic 

Set achievable targets, turninng £10 into £20 over 3 hours playing on a 5p/10 table is a VERY GOOD result.

2) Be prepared.

Never let the play of an opponent surprise you, no matter how bad it is, how bad his call was pre flop, and how could he call when he needs runner runner runner runner just to make 1 pair?

3) An ugly winner, beats a pretty loser.

Take range, equity pokerstove, tripple barrells and reverse implied odds and chuck'em out of your virtual poker window.

Learn by doing, find your own style, what works for you. The rest can come later.....

Nice one Dohhh,
I especially like number 1 because it is so easy to feel disapointed when you have been winning small amounts but feeling like you really could have won more in certain situations.
Thinking about number 1 it really does take the pressure off...especially when you add up say £10 a day over a month! Easy to forget how much it can come to and easy to become overly greedy and expect too much!
