  3 Tips.

  1. Discipline.

  Be disciplined re Bankroll. Stay within your bankroll/budget- scared money=busto.

  Be disciplined re table selection. Play players you can beat.

  Be disciplined re hand selection. Fold more than you raise and raise more than you call.

  2.Position.

  Advantage of late position is the knowledge gained from acting after other players have acted(or not acted) and knowledge is power. So USE position but do not be tempted to ABUSE it.

  3.PATIENCE.

  This is THE most important,especially, in MTTs which are marathons not sprints. A well known Sky leg end was asked for his 3 top tips for new players and his reply was :-  Patience,......   Patience,.............Oh and PATIENCE.

i have no idea where/why all these tips threads came up but  you should  be abusing the button

  The threads are due to a comp. set by Tikay for SPT seats. And re. abusing the button, i would agree that some one of your experience and undoubted skill can abuse the button but the post is directed at new players who can and do get themselves in to lots of trouble by thinking that the button raise is compulsory.
