Nut flush vs full house

edited March 2011 in The Poker Clinic
Hi

I played a hand where i had ace 7 of spades. It was a three way pot

The flop came with two spade: 4 10spade Qspade

I was getting the odds to call my draw and on the river i hit my spade (a 4) but the board paired.

I was out of position so checked hoping to check raise someone, this one guy made a bet and I then pushed him all in.

He called and turned over a fours full house...

On a paired board, was a wrong to push him all in and should i just have called his river bet.

thanks

well it all depends on how the flop and turn is played and the reads you have on your opponents. In this situation where a have a flush to the A draw i try to play it aggresively as the flush is harder to see if you hit it. If you play this aggresively you also get insight as to what cards your opponents are holding 2 pair, trips etc.
