Cardroom Changes #9 - Overlay in Bounty Hunter tournys

edited March 2011 in Poker Chat
The overlay now all seems to get added to the prize pool, half of the overlay is no longer added to the bounties as it was before.

    Hi Gary,

Yes that's correct, this change was actually made to cover rebuy bounty hunters where overlay on the initial buy in is to be expected, otherwise they would not have been possible, i hadn't really considered this for freeze-out BH's since overlay is fairly rare.

Previously this would have resulted in obscure head values for all player, such as 3.23 etc and also resulted in the odd pence which could not be allocated anywhere (causing a fiasco in one particular case :-) )

So although overlay in freeze-out bounty hunters is fairly rare, when it happens it will now fix the head value of each player to the amount you would expect if the guarantee had been met (generally 50% of the buy in, so £5 head value per person if £10 + £1) then attribute any overlay to the cash prize pool.

    Regards

    Adam
