edited March 2011 in Poker Chat
Is there a SPT in scotland this year,if not why not,im sure there are enough players north of the border,to make it a good event.

We have explained that several times, Your Honour.

There is not one scheduled in Season 10/11, as we could not find a Venue that met all the necessary criteria. We were badly let down in Scotland last year, & the previous Scottish venue was divided into 2 rooms, so not really suitable.

We have opened discussions with a different Scottish venue for the 2011/12 SPT, assuming there is one, & are hopeful it will be able to meet the standards we demand. If it does not, we will keep searching, but we won't go to any Venue that does not respect our players, be in seperate rooms, or fail to meet the necessary standards as to Disabled Access, etc. It also has to be fully licensed by the GC.

The Alea casino in glasgow could accomodate as they have a hall you can rent on the 2nd tier, which can accomodate 150,or there is the corinthian club, which can seast 400 i think

Scottish people who live there and want a local venue...

I'm happy to travel anywhere to an SPT though, even Wales! :)
