I played at Newcastle and went along to the Edinburgh leg.
My best moments were;
Riverring a 10 in Newcastle, I went all in pre-flop UTG with 8 big blinds, I got a call from I believe it was Greeko, someone else went all in, he had about double the chips I had, Greeko calls. He turns AK, the young boy who raised all in turns JJ, I have tens. The flop brings an Ace, this will put Greeko on around 30K+, a massive chip leader. The turn is a blank and on the last card I hit the 2-outer. I was up to 14K. That put me on a serious high!
Another one was beating the pro at my table, maybe Tikay will remember who this was. At the table in the far corner, you were chatting to him about the EPT Deauville. I went all in with QJ with 5 or 6 BB, he calls with AK and I hit a Q. That felt good!
Bad moments,
Newcastle, we passed St James Park at about half 12, we were completely lost - couldn't find the casino, ended up in Gateshead, turned back over the bridge. My Dad was driving around for a bit trying to look for the Aspers, there was a street blocked off and a series of one way streets that we couldn't figure out.
I look at the time and it's now 20 past 1. I decide to get out and walk, my Dad went to find somewhere to park and then he'd walk to the place. I thought it was up this street on my right so I got out, my Dad drove off I walk up the street and it wasn't there. I then went around asking people on the street, do you know where Aspers Casino is? Twice I was sent to the wrong casino. When I asked the third person and they sent me in the same direction, I couldn't really then turn and walk the other way, so back up to the wrong casino I went. I then seen a group of bus drivers, I decide to ask them. It's now 20 to 2, registration was scheduled to stop at quarter to 2. They send me to the right casino, when I got to the building, it is a huge multi-centre thing, full of bars and clubs, I spot the sign for the casino, I go up stairs and see my Dad walk in 2 minutes ahead of me. I had to register for the casino, I get in, look for the poker tables which are the opposite side to where I was. I get up to the registration area, only about 20 namebadges left on the table, I get a drink and they called us to the tables. If I had been 2 minutes later it would have been a 3 hour car trip for nothing. Still, I had a great time and would reccomend everyone else to give the SPUKT a try. Great day out.
That is just about topped by Compo singing 'here comes the girls' in Edinburgh.

I believe that was Graham Morl.
Compo singing was DEFFO the low point of the SPUKT. A complete shambles.
Best moment making the final table at Swansea, and although being straight on the BB with 12k and BB being 8k i still managed to 10 fold my stack to over 100k and finish 3rd
the worst was when i busted out... i was a huge stack after my treble up... got kings in late position.. made a big raise and the only stack left in the tourny which could hurt me put me all in... thought for a while but had to call as i already had 1/3 of my stack in... couldnt believe my luck when she turned ak over... only for a 10jq flop
argh it was unlucky 13th for me..neva mind ot was a great day
Drove 4 hours and Played the Newcastle leg and was a very late entry to the Grand final
worst moment having my pocket jacks cracked after a short stack shoved all in over the top of me with 4 5 suited to hit the straight on the river after I tripped up on turn.
Best moment. Dissapointing 27 other players when as the extreme short stack my pocket queens held and despite the anticipation around the room i didnt end up bubble boy in the Grand final!!.
Level 2, i look down at AA in 3rd position. Robbie Fisher the eventual winner sat UTG he limped, next to him limped I raise to 475 all folds to Robbie , he calls next to him calls. Flop Q72 rainbow. Checked to me, I bet 3/4 pot, Robbie calls, other guy folds.
Turn 5
Robbie checks
I bet 3/4 pot, he calls. River blank 3. Robbie bets 2500, I had to call and he shows Q 5 ..... what is he still doing in the hand this early in the comp with that. Cripples me down to about 4k this early, im not happy.
Built my stack back up to 13k then.....
Last hand before the Buffet break. UTG pocket 8's, everybody seems eager to get in the Que for Buffet so I raise 4x BB , Robbie in the SB calls.
Flop 552 rainbow, great flop for 88. Robbie checks, I bet the pot to take it down there and go to dinner, he calls....OK?? Strange, but hes a calling station so he could have anything.
Turn another 2. I bet at the pot again around half the big pot. He calls.
I dont put him on better pocket than my 8's so either a straight draw or one of the 5 or 2 surely.... WRONG.
River is an ACE. He checks , I check.
He flips over A 6 .
Hummm how did this Kid win again ???
TK any thoughts?
My dog pushed me down the stairs, which is bad luck in itself, maybe it was meant to be...?
Roll on next year and hope that I'd get my chance to shine
See you at the tables
bad moments- sitting waiting on the numbers going down 12 people left. im on the big blind with 8 9 and got to check it. flop 8 9 j. a guy named cazro calls all in with just less than the amount of chips i had. i called every1 eles folded. he shows 9 q i think HAPPY DAYZ until the guy hits his q on river. i couldave cried lol
ah well thats poker better luck next time hopefully.
