Now this is an out and out brag because I won the £8,000 BH on Monday night for a profit of £1,420+. I had bubbled the final table of the last main event I played on Friday so it was good to take one down.

I ran like God in the later stages after limping through most of the tourney with a below average stack, I got very lucky a couple of times running A7 into AK when short and binking the 7 both times! Still you've gotta get a bit of luck to win.

...and all I got from the 'other half' was 'when are you finishing that stupid game?' Needless to say she doesn't even know I won and I won't be buying her any flowers from my winnings!

Nice win and glad to see someone has a partner who is as supportive (NOT) as mine! All I got this morning after winning a tourney last night (see post later in this section) was 'you were playing for hours yesterday evening, you can give it a rest for a few days now!' I doubt if Phil Ivey gets that sort of comment!

Congrats on your bink, and agree with everything you say but the last comment. I've given up ever expecting my wife to "get it", but I'll still use my winnings to treat her - even if I don't tell her the reason.

Nice 1 Gary, I saw one the other day with 24 runners and a player had taken 12 heads and winning resulting in him taking about half the total prize pool thought that was good but as usual you have outdone him here lol.
