I would of c bet flop once called shut down.

I am a massive nit though............

Yeah once he's called you on the flop you've got to shut it down.  Let him lead, his bet size gives you more information than him calling your turn bet.  Plus he's as likely to check J's or 2 paint card combination for showdon value

If the flop was AKx and you held KQ would you stack off here?

Your KK has as much value in your hand as the KQ does in my scenario, but you will likely get away from the KQ I'd expect.

3-ways to the flop and it comes A high, you can take 1 shot at it, but once you get resistance it's time to give up on the turn.

This is easy to get away from, especially in a deepie. Unfortunately you fell in love with your hand and probably convinced yourself he had something like 9T and wasn't going to get a free card from you! We've all done it.
