Can of worms. You won't even get agreement about the definition of "best".
Is it:
1. The best all-rounder
2. the one who makes the most money
3. the one who makes the most money compared to the level they play?
4. the one with the highest ROI?
5. the one who meets one of these criteria, or others, both online and live?

Lolufold can reasonably claim to be the 21st best player in the world as he came 21st in the WSOP main event. But I'm not sure if he's ever finished higher than 21st in one of the main tourneys on this site!
