Did i play this top pair bad

Hi I played this hand. I put the guy on a flush draw or a queen with a weak kicker as he seemed very weak on the flop (as it was he was weak, but not for the reasons i thought - he actually had a high pocket pair). I pushed on the turn as i thought i had to get him off the draw and/or he might call with a weaker queen. But on the turn he hit a set. Did i overbet the turn.. and was the play wrong - do you guys think i should have been a little less aggressive as he had position.

you want him to call with his draws on the turn, but 3xing it just turns your hand into a bluff unless they are calling stations. just bet £3 and shove river if he flats and draws miss
