    + 1 to folding pre, or at least raise ur button if u are feeling bit fruity

    Both played very poor from turn imo yes u probably should have gone broker

    k10 and kj used to get me in sooo much much trouble. unless in good pos against a player i can outplay(not many) i put it down pre now and saved myself a few coppers along the way!

    I don't mind limping the button, but im v confident post flop in these fields.

    In answer to your question, yes, u should have lost the lot in this hand.

    Fold pre, but i would'nt hate a sneaky raise off the button. Similar to most posts on here.

    As DOHHHHHHHH said, you should have been stacked. Lucky getaway really.

    Hi DOHHHHHHH, can you explain your thinking on limping the button please? I have been led to believe that with one limper already present that a raise is the correct play if only to isolate a player. Easier to beat one player than two. Not a criticism, just wondered your reasoning for limping the button? Cheers.

    I'm just limping to try and make a hand basically. 


    If it comes Q, J, x, they prob bet half pot with Jack x or Q x and I know if I turn the nuts, I get their stack, coz they don't fold.

    It's not technically, in fact it's pretty awful, but the standard in these kinda tournys is terribad, and I'm confident of not doing too much damage if it comes K or T high, so I'm gonna "gamble" 20 chips out of my 2,000 to try and bink a hand and get a head start in the tournament.

    Nah for me K10 offsuit limping pre is pretty dog awful. Raising is definitely the best approach to take as the way you put it it seems you're just hoping to 'get lucky'.  Even if I was playing a deepstack with 5000 chips I'd never just limp and hope to hit a good flop infact I'd say cutting limping out your game all together will make you a MUCH better player.

    You need to adapt to the game/table you're playing at.

    If I was at nl4 and it was folded round to me in the cut off, my opening range would be alot narrower than if I was playing 100nl. 

    Just dismissing a play because the textbook doesn't agree is no good. Think on your feet and do the right thing in every situation.

    I know that if I "get lucky" I'm going to win a big pot.

    I know that if I hit top pair, I'm going to lose or win a small one.

    If you play well post flop, you can play wider pre flop.

    Raising is pointless, if you raise these spots you'll end up with 1.5k at the end of the first level alot of the time.

    TK isn't a hand I'd limp here with everytime, small pairs, and suited Aces, 67, 78, 89, TJ suited are better/

    I'd fold KTo most of the time, but don't mind a limp.
