I think you play it fine, you have to lead out strong, believing you have the best hand until you have any indication to believe otherwise.  Agree with the bet bigger turn and river.  But getting called up to the turn does ring an alarm.

Interesting small river bet, may stimulate a big raise from a missed draw from many.  Plus you check river for showdown or to check call, guarentee most players give you a tricky decision there
