Best of the Best
Ran at different levels but for this example ill say £5.50, Only 24 Spaces available so you cant buy in directly, you have to play the special £5.50 “best of the best entry” tourney’s, where the prize money would be split like a regular tourney, but the winner or maybe top 2 would be given entry into the best of the best tourney as well.
24 Players
The blinds increased every 15 minutes, 5000 Starting chips
Six players competed in each tournament, with points being allocated as follows:
Each player plays six preliminary tournaments with players randomly drawn. At the end of this, the points are tallied and the 16 players with the most points progress to the next round.
The first round is spread over 6 weeks on a Saturday Night; the 4 tournaments will run simultaneously.
The top 16 are then split into 4 pools of players
Players in round 2 start with 1,000 chips for every point earned up to then.
Each pool has two matches, with points being allocated as follows:
The points are accumulated from these 2 matches, and the top 8 players with the highest points then progress to the quarter-finals.
The quarter-finals are 2 groups with 4 players in each. Each group will play one match where the top two finishers will advance to the semi-finals. The winner of the match will start the semi-finals with 50,000 in chips while the runner up will start with 40,000. Players start with 2,000 chips per point earned in the round of 16.
Both the semi-finals and finals will be played in best two out of three heads-up matches.
Payout Structure
Top 2 paid only £80 to winner £40 to runner up.

has potential but i think the 24 player will make it very limited and have you seen how long the freeroll knockouts took, and the organisation it took, it could be a nightmare and im not sure the sky team would be bothered to run it with all that commitment?
To be honest the way i was looking at this was you get 10 weeks of decent structured poker for a fiver rather than waht was to be won at the end, besides id expect it to be ran at multiple levels and your much more likely to be in the £50 entry rather than the £5 one.
It doesnt really have to last 10 weeks either, theres no reason it cant be tweaked so theres only 4 rounds in the first round, and most people can handle 2 tables at once so theese could be ran ove 2 weeks, immediately taking 4 weeks of the schedule.
