Fixed time tournaments
Many people will have a cut-off time after which they have to leave. No problems in a cash game but in a tournament it's a pain.
So how about having a fixed time limit for some tournies? People will then know that sitting down at 3pm means they will be finished at 5pm tops.
To do this, just eliminate the shortest stacks at regular intervals. Time it so the heads-up will finish after 10 minutes at most with the biggest stack winning.
