average was just over 2k, but on this instance I was hoping for a re-raise of one player who had been raising a lot in position and i thought i could trap him -
 
probably should have mentioned that in the OP

Ps - I,ve had it a few times tonight and in better positions where i have raised and not won a hand with it - its fast becoming one of my least fav hands,  - Cheers

If you have a plan and are hoping for a reraise so you can shove, I don't mind the limp here.  That said, you need to be well prepared to lay them down if it becomes a family pot or someone tighter comes in and raises

never limp ... to risky, but with an aggresive player behind seems profitable to play the situation, but at the same time letting the loose aggro player the chance to draw out / weak ace / or a j10 even and ect. For max value limp see safe flop check induce bet re-pop = pick up more money or raise pre pick up blinds or see dangorous flop / be hero / lay down / ect .. if it was me i'd raise pre , get max info , probs take down pot , if not ,play it as it goes
