Hand protect in tourny

edited May 2011 in The Poker Clinic

Hi

I played this hand in a tourny earlier. I put the guy on a flush draw and if i was playing cash i would have under bet slight less on turn to get some more value, but i didnt here cos i wanted to protect my hand. I think though i could have used the extra chip, do you i should have under bet slightly on the turn to get some more value, or is hand protect tooooo important in a tournament to risk getting more chips???

you cant just "put him on a flush draw"

1000 into 1400 seems fine but look what you leave yourself behind and what he has left, could you bet more on the flop and jam the turn? could you make a weak bet on the turn?

is protection more important than stacking your opponent in this spot?

as played turn sizing looks ok

I prefer 500 on flop, means you can jam turn for less than pot
