Things I Have Learnt From The Sky Poker Tour

edited May 2011 in The Sky Poker Tour
1. The whole tour should be sponsored by Jagermeister for all of the bloody stuff that's drunk
2. Don't overplay AK
3. If you go out on the town with any of you lot you'll end up losing your shoes, wondering why you're walking home in your socks (brand new converse I might add)
4. Carlo Citrone's tournament strategy is to get his table drunk

But no, in all seriousness what a great weekend and a pleasure to meet some of you!

Dan

    Hi All,

Just a quick congrats to user: Denham_!  He was the lucky man who knocked me out of the SPT and won the £50 in doing so!

I had a great time and hopefully will see you all again at another event.

    Goood luck at the tables!

    (Skyvegas) - Bob

PS - I left the casino in the early hours with a much lighter wallet but did manage to win a brand new pair of converse trainers off this drunk guy on the flip of a coin :)

I seriosuly didnt think he could call. I was almost right. I have to admit, was an awesome day, and i think getting that call taught me more than a lifetimes worth of poker. I owe my opponent a pint lol.

I have learned to bust out in third in a side event if there is a possibility of being heads up with orford as losing to him brings acute embarressment ridicule and a lifetime of being known as the player that was responsible for making the rest of team sky pokers lives a misery for the next 10 years at least ;-)

i thought it was an obvious bluff play against me after i had shown a bluff earlier then won a big pot with aces v your AK.  at least you didnt reshove ak when i reraised you preflop so well done there.

PS the whole table also thought your a8 no diamond shove was a bluff but you have a good game and will do well live.  you need to lose the hoody though imo.   it makes it look like you have nothing all teh time.  be confident--show confidence in your hand and face up!

It was still a big call even when i thought i was winning with the 33

nice to meet you.  hope to come to Cardiff but am working at the moment
