GUKPT final- tricky hand

edited May 2011 in The Poker Clinic
This is probably the only hand I'm not sure about. I'd be interested in opinions at key points;

Preflop and flop play I'm happy with. First decision is on the turn- check or bet, and what to do when you check and get a tiny bet like that?

River too, what to do here?

Haven't played Rosjim THAT much, but I respect his game. The tiny bets were confusing, since it's a classic newbie move- which he obviously isn't. Therefore, I wasn't too sure what they meant- I took them as great strength- it felt like a weak lead to induce a jam. Should I be taking the bait with a hand as strong as I have? Similar decision on both turn+river. My gut on the turn is he has the flush, so a call felt the best option to hopefully house up- if I do, because of how short I am, I'm probably doubling up anyway.

The bet on river again is so small, I don't think I can possibly fold here given the information? Should I jam or flat? Or is there an argument for folding?

    i think the reason this is such a tricky spot is you dont bet on the turn so not you, me or anyone else knows where you are from this point i personally jam the lot in as played. If you flat and lose then your in trouble with a stack size like that but you really cant be folding this surely.

    oh, folding was never really crossing my mind at any point. I don't think folding can ever be a good move on the river as played.

    My logic behind the way I played it was, by checking it's allowing him to bluff at it if he hasn't got the flush, and I'm getting a little more out of him that way. If he hasn't got the flush he probably doesn't continue to call. Basically, I shut down into check/call mode when the turn comes down.

    Question is really, is that too conservative a way to play with a set?
