    Played this last night, and althoguh I thought it was an excellent tournament, I wont be rushing to play it again, it was just too long for me, expecially on a school night having to get up at 6 with the kiddies.

    Im lovinig the new blind structure but with 500+ runners, just dont have the time to sit for so long, last ngiht it was comming up to the 3rd hour break (11.15) there was still 44 of us left, I figured since everyone was still reasonably deepstacked there was still another 2 hours play, no way could i last till 1.15!!!

    I was laying in 14th place, just above average in stacks, when i decided to call an all in with 55, if im out great ill go bed, if i double up and move to 2nd in chips ill just blind out and ladder up the money.

    500+ runners proved how popular this is tho, and i hope the numbers continue, i really did enjoy the 3 hours i had and I may play it at the weekend.

    Its not as if all the early bust outs in the ME 8pm rush into this at 8.15 is it ?

    Glad you enjoyed it Shaz and yes, it was very well supported. In fact, I decided to rail the FT and it did not conclude until just before 2 am. I too had to get up for the school run this morning so I do know exactly where you are coming from! 
    I see tonight the DOUBLE STACK is also running a MINI event so another late night looks in prospect. I still hope it gets a few numbers and perhaps if these continue, Sky can look to bringing the start time forward an hour or so. Then there will be people who can not make that start time so it will be a 'you can not please all of the people all of the time' situation.

    i think a solution should address the problem and not merely the symptoms.  so, my suggested tweak is simply to remove a few levels, or shorten the time played at each level. 

    i know that as it might be a 6 hour game i might hesitate to join in a big field next time.

    nevertheless, great idea, good game.

    Very Good tournament.
    Well done Maxally.

    Have to agree with Shaz about the time but with
    slight adjustments there is no reason why this cant
    be very sucessful.

    505 runners is quite impressive

    I came 59th for Min cash of £4.04.

    Not bad for my first tourney in 6 months

    Great turnout last night Alan, well done.
    I too have to be up at 7 but still will be playing when I can.
    Great structure, cheap and decent payout its what a lot of us have wanted for a while.
    Hopefully people will keep supporting them. xx

    Hi All,

    As always thanks for all the feedback so far, it's a balance between structure/no. runners /starting stack/start time vs Finishing time

    We've switched tonight's structure to a fairly deep 10 min blinds, which despite the double starting stack will bring the finishing time in considerably with the expected no. runners, whilst still providing an enjoyable relaxed structure.

    We'll look to use a similar structure for the rest of the Mini Open equivalents (Main event blinds will probably not be used again) before considering moving the start time forwards.

    I too thought it was a great tourney. It was great to be able to have a tourney that fits in my BR, and that had loads of the bigger players on the site on it too. Really enjoyed being on my table even though I was severley outclassed by most if not all of the players that sat at it lol!!!

    Deffo on tonight, could you just make it so that I dont think playing 97s in the SB two places before the bubble could ever, ever, ever be a good idea? If you could also make it so that I then dont think my 97 is good on a QQ9 flop that would be great. *shakes head at self*

    Anyway really great idea thanks Maxally!!

    I see the structure has been tweaked and I don't know much abour tourny structures but I have seen some of the earlier levels dropped in other tournaments to speed up the earlier play without affecting the later stages.

    Currently the ME DS first levels are:
