    EDIT- THIS WAS POSTED ON 10-5-11, felt worth a bump!!

    What a player!!  First time I've seen him live!!

    He made Hughes, Hangerland & Baird look poor last nite, after all had good season !!

    Very Tevez-like with his movement & work ethic, maybe better even !!

    Showed Great movement 'off-ball' & Ball retention in last third 'arc', but Not Penalty spot target 'circle', which is obviously where Carroll will be !!!

    He looked like a possible Player of 'next' Year to me, but alot of his work will not be picked up by 'highlight' cameras, so he may be doomed to the unsung hero title!!

    Cant help thinking he will form a formididable partnership with a 'fit' Carroll, for whom he will provide a rich supply chain!!

    Am already thinking of next season ante-post bets,

    Carroll top scorer?
    Liverpool On a handicap for Prem, [they were very impressive]
    Suarez maybe player of year

    Ps, I didna have a bet last nite, dont like these end of seson games BUT did have a chat with
    SPORNYBOL, and I said poss 1-1, maybe a 2-1 either way !!
     HE CAME BACK WITH 5-1 Liverpool lolol!!

    PS. My Boy Dembele got a great consolation, still looks carrying injury tho

    PPS. Schwarzer is lookin every inch an ARSENAL GOAL-KEEPER lol,  [been good this year too]

    I put on another forum after last nights showing that when (surely not if?) they sign up Kenny and get a few new Liverpool-type players in in the summer then they will easily be back as a top four club next year and within a year or two be truely pushing for the title.

    This season was always going to be a transitional one, but the promise that has been shown in recent months bodes very well for the future.

    As for Suarez, I heard great things about him before the World Cup (40-odd goals for Ajax last year) and he was superb in that tournament along with his teammate Forlan; so I was expecting good things, but didn't think he'd get going fully till next year. Can't wait to see what he can do for Liverpool given a full season and with Carroll, Lucas (played brilliantly last night), Gerard, Meireles, Kuyt and Maxi then there will be a lot of action upfront for them then too.

    Agreed !!

    A full 'fit' season from Gerrard & Carroll and Liverpool are contenders with what they already have!


    Heard on Talksport something like ,

     "if the season had starting from when Kenny took over, then liverpool would have won it !!"

    One Small criticism on Suarez which am sure Kenny will sort out.....If He goes down LESS [easily], he will actually win MORE  free-kicks & pens, a lesson Ronaldo had learned at Old trafford, seems to have forgot it now tho LOLOL

    Agree 100% Suarez must be buy of the season, got him in me fantasy football team and he will be an auto buy for next season. Don't agree with Gerrard coming back will be a plus though, I'm convinced they play better without him. I don't know if he has an attitude problem or what, but he always runs about like he's got a rocket stuck up his a@*e, maybe he's been constipated for 20 years I don't know, but he is definetly full of s@@t.

    When Liverpool won the champions league he was injured in the build up to the final and I'm sure he pubilcy said the team weren't good enough to win it.... really good for moral that was. Same when he plays for England, always runs around moaning and waving his arms when he dosn't get the ball. I'm not a violent person but he's just got the sort of face you want to hit with a cricket bat.

    There I feel alot better now.... he he rant over 


    any Liverpool fans out there, please direct all abuse to Dave Hitman RV .... he made me write this

    Well Kenny has finally signed on the dotted line for 3 years so now lets really see what they can do in that time - hopefully get them back challenging for titles and trophies! :)

    The signings King Kenny has made so far, the fact the board obviously backs him, and the fact Liverpool will be starting the season in harmony for a change....i think they are a good shout for the title as well!

    A bit disappointed to hear they might be offloading Meireles and Maxi (though he wants to leave). Hope they get good replacements for them. I'd love them to get Charlie Adam who could be an Alonso-type player pinging the ball around if Gerrard aint fit or having an off day.

    Think Liverpool have got a good chance to get back into the top 4 ahead of Arsenal & Spurs. Anything more than that would be a bonus for them for the coming season.

    I'd back the champions to come from Manchester, maybe even the Blue side. :o)

    I agree, Liverpool secured Adam today finally which is great news as he is a vastly under-rated playmaker. I also hope they give Aquilani a good run in the squad as he has been unfairly derided and moved around but has obvious talent. I hope they keep Meireles and Maxi though I believe they both are surplus to requirements now. Hope they go in for Mata over Downing as he will be cheaper and has more quality. If they get another good youngish striker to compliment Carroll and Suarez then they will be right up there. Combine that with Dalglish's vast experience and football knowhow - they will be a force this season, a definate CL qualifier and could push for the title in the following couple of years.

    Yeah really glad to see that too. Have always rooted for him since he went to England (not when he was at those sods Rangers mind you lol!) as he's from my home city and a friend of mine also used to play footy with him.

    On a side note he's probably beneficial as a translator for the foreign players for what KK is saying to them also so bonus lol!! :P

    Adam is lookin very Good indeed! love his composure, & I didna realise how good his flair & disguise are!!

    The other thing i have noticed from end of last year, is LUCAS!!!!!!!!!!
     
    What a change under Kenny!! He is lookin a formidable prem player, and is breaking up oppo play tremendously, he wernt doin that before!!

    Interesting to see the Liverpool situation today. Yes they've won the Carling cup and are in the FA cup final, but their league form is appalling and anyone other than Keny Dalglish would be facing a big backlash from the fans by now.

    I was so rite about Suarez, but so WRONG about liverpool lolol

    After watching Barca last nite, THET ARE DEFO BEST TEAM EVER!!

    Iniesta is just Unbelivable!!...just behind Messi/ Ronaldo as BEST EVER FOOTBALLER!!
