hi all
ill be making the app 6hr trip to dundee to play saturday tourney not sure who the sky players are that will be going but gl all including joesman1 also gl to all attending brighton leg hopefully sky can take both the meetings down

    I spent a few bob trying to qualify last night , to no avail.

    Best of luck mate hope it goes well for you.

    For God sake don't tell any the dealers that you know that nutter "Pete" who plays on Sky Poker.  They'll deal you 7 2 off all night ;o)

    I live in Dundee and would like to rail the event but have never been to a casino. Do I have to join up or something or could I just turn up and watch - anyone know?

    Pretty sure you will be able to just turn-up, with d/license or passport & join as a member at foyer, may be busy on day i guess so be early or join on earlier day to be sure!!

    As long as you have a valid ID , you can join and enter straight away

    Went out 7th in Dundee after twice running into over pairs on FT.  Played to money last night (5 paid).  Rosjim1 went around 14th I think and Joesman just before.  Disappointing turn out 27 with 3 re-entries.  Should have easyjetted down for the Brighton event.

    I believe "runitrann" who qualified on Sky Poker is chippy or 2nd chip of the 5 remaining players at Dundee who returned today.

    hi all yep very dissapointing turn out for this event runitrann i belive was the first player out so he bagged an online seat to some event the g are running so at least sky have won somthing i must say it makes you appreciate how good a job sky do at running the spt in promoting them and taking care of its customers e.g full runners and buffet( not even a finger buffet at dundee) the most gauling part of the trip though was been lied to by one of the g staff having phoned them on thursday and been told that the tourney was virtually full so if you want to register do it now over the phone (a slightly dirty sales trick) and then making the 300+ mile trip up there
    well the be all and end all of it for me was having my trip kings beaten by a flush on the river

    but was an experiance and will not put me off my poker
    moved on to another casino last night and managed to bag fifth place
    and joesman1 received 2nd in the same tourney result!

    g staff having phoned them on thursday and been told that the tourney was virtually full so if you want to register do it now over the phone (a slightly dirty sales trick)

    I would def complain to the GUKPT Tour manager for that.  Totally disgusting.

    totally disgusting. was really hoping this was well run so that maybe we could see an SPT back in scotland, guess we could be waiting a while longer yet :(.

    James came second today for I believe £4,5K. Deal made HU and played for trophy and remaining cash. He was the first player out first day and re-entered.  For being first out he gets a seat at the £15K online Champions of Champions event.

    Incidentally the winner also took down the £150 side event on Friday.  MBN.

    I thought it was poorly run.  When I got back today for the £150 and the ME was HU, they had the final table finishers and cash pay outs listed but the places 6-10 were all wrong (outside money but GUKPT tour points awarded).  I was no where to be seen (I finished 7th) and questioned it.  They had no idea who their FT line up was and guessed/asked around to try and fill in the placings.  Laughable really.

    Pretty sure also that when James bust day 1 he actually had his opponent covered but chips were scooped in too quick and not counted.  He wasn't worried as he wanted to re-enter and he wouldn't have had many chips but was pretty amateur for a £500 BI event.
