tbh, after he 3 bets on the flop you should be folding. You only have bottom set, he could easily have an overset and dominate you. You were lucky he only had AK and deserved to lose IMO, getting all your stack in on that flop was poor play. 3 bet pre on the button, deffo looks like aces to me. I fold.

I just cant disagree with this more.  If you have a soulread then it might come to the fore of your mind.

Otherwise I'm with Phil Ivey.  Over volume you should bever fold set fearing overset.

Why would I be winding anyone up? Ask Dohhh, I always say it how I see it- I respect him a heap as a player, I think he's great- but (and I think in hindsight he'd agree) he played this one like a bit of a donk, and really deserved the outdraw. He just shouldn't ever be good on the flop the way that played out.

1.20 to call - prob stack him for £20 if we hit our set

1.20 x 7 = 8.4

its not set over set enough for it not to be profitable, he's very unlucky, im happy for ppl to hv aa/kk pre, q high board with a 4... ty for ur stack

Why not? It's very plausible for the oppo to have an Ace with a good kicker.

The day you start worrying about someone flopping a better set than you is the day you should take a break from poker.
