Slow play or get it in??

edited May 2011 in The Poker Clinic
both approaches work really, doesn't look much like he's going away here- but a big reraise really does totally give away the strength of your hand, you could try and disguise it by flatting- he may be able to make a hero fold with queens. You have position too, which further disguises your hand- you could be flatting with a much wider range. You're relying a bit on board texture now, but if the textures right you should stack him.

Reraising works too, if he has kings he's getting it in. But if he has QQ or AK he may be able to find a fold. Like you said, you've been playing extremely tight, so I favour a flat here- continue with your relatively tight play. If you'd been hyper aggro and reraising everywhere, a jam would be a nice move here.

Based on his stack size he likely really likes his hand pre.  You get one more bet in pre its going to be incredibly difficult for him to fold any flop.  I think i 4 bet small.

    He's not folding.

3bet bigger yourself, shove now. I doubt any half stack ever minraise, min 4bets then folds. Flatting is ok too but a lot of his range prefers getting it in pre than on some flops
