I've experienced exactly this playing £0.50/£1 cash the other night but aslong as your bankroll can take the hit, you've just got to accept both played it pretty much spot on and today they rivered your set whereas tomorrow your set should take down their over pair...yeah it's frustrating but that's poker! *hate that phrase but it's true*

BACK TO SCHOOL MATE, UNLESS I'M MISSING SOMETHING SHE CALLED A FURTHER 900 PRE WITH AN END POT OF 14,030....IN MY EXPERIENCE ANNIE KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT SHE'S DOING...
THE PROBLEM FOR ME IS THAT THESE RIVERWONDER HANDS OF ARE BECOMING THE NORM ON HERE. PLAYED THE DEEPIE YESTERDAY AND ON 1 TABLE 7 ALL INS 6 OF WHICH THE BIG UNDERDOG BEFORE THE RIVER WITH 1 OR 2 CARDS TO HIT HITS ON THE RIVER AND THE PLAYERS WHOS WELL AHEAD GOES OUT. THIS ISNT A BAD BEAT MOAN QQ V AQ SHOULD GET BEATEN SOMETIMES BUT NONE OF YOU CAN SURLEY SAY THAT PLAYERS HIT WONDER RIVERS 6 OUT OF 7 TIMES WITH ONE OR TWO OUTS IN LIVE POKER. THIS SIGHT IS BEGINING TO BECOME UNPLAYABLE. Posted by BADBOY985
wow 7 allins and the favourite lose's,i would fold aa if 6 people went all in in front of me pre flop

You're both missing something. The end pot of 14,030 contains another 5,970 of Annie's chips so she's NOT winning those. Therefore, she's winning a maximum pot of 8,060 from MadMoo for an investment of 900 chips. Taking into consideration that there is another person in the pot (and making the assumption that she will get bet off the pot if she doesn't flop the set) then I'd say that it's a fair enough call with a reasonable expectation of more than doubling up if she hits.

It is NOT spot on. In purely mathematical terms Annie is getting the correct odds to make this play and I would make it in a cash game EVERY time. In a tournament there may well be meta-game issues about not risking that proportion of her stack, but it is certainly not true to say that she is not getting the odds. She has very real expectation of doubling up if she flops her set (or quads). I personally wouldn't make the call in this situation but it is a matter of choice and there is no definitive "right or wrong" decision.
The odds of her hitting her hand on the flop are almost exactly 7.5/1. Her implied odds are 8060/900 which is very nearly 9/1.
rigged. bent as dale winton. rip off, trading standards materiel, close it down. get away with murder. gullible sky users. shall i go on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What I don't understand is why you called the preflop raise with 33 ???????????? Hand values are getting out of all proportion. Push hard with 33 in position, limp into a cheap flop but calling 2 raises.?? Mind you I went out to madmoo shortly after you with an even worse play on my part. Make a bad play, learn to live with it. Promise yourself to never ever do that again but don't quit the site because you didn't hit the outside chance. Do what I do and blame it on the jungle juice I've been on all afternoon and evening, but you know it's not the sites fault Annie. Posted by elsadog

Well done my friend, cash play yes but not sure on a tourney or sit and go play, depends on the blinds, number of players left, aggression at the table etc. etc.. Odds are a tough beast to master.
Don't ever leave this site Annie, you bring too much to the site/forum/table.

the 1200 raise is 1/6 of your stack
so went on a fishy call got lucky on flop
and unlucky on river
so 50/50 thats fair .
must say madmoo play the hand perfect
Seconded.
