"Solitaire" is my favourite card song firstly because it was sung by some great artists such as Neil Diamond, Elvis Presley and The Carpenters, but also, I used to Sing this one towards the end of my act when I used to entertain as a singer on the Clubs & Pubs Circuit.
Also the lyrics in the chorus are quite sentimental. They give me an image of someone trying to get on in life but never really getting a break, no matter how hard he tries, but he keeps on trying. A bit like my poker experiences really.
