In Response to Re: Super-Survivor has arrived! : Here's my dilemma...........and wondered if anyone had any opinions pls. I want to enter but my problem is this weeks shift-pattern and I have to leave to go to work at 10:30 pm Sun-Wed inclusive. I'm ok after that but wanted your opinions and experiences ( if you have played this last time )....is this tourney like a lot of DYM's where in trying to survive, you end up in a virtual state of animation and by getting no action, causes the game to drag on and on...ie: do you think the game will finish before 10:30 pm. I know it can't be a straight forward reply but just wanted some feedback and views please.......thanx. Posted by billyboots
You'll be fine, the blind levels last only 5 minutes for the early rounds, so there's no way they can possibly last 3 hours, there'll probably all be over within the hour.
Everybody starts with 2,000 chips, so when the bubble goes (half the field are left) the average stack will be 4,000 chips. After 1 hour the blinds will be 800/1600, if it makes it that far the average stack will only be 2.5BB or less, obviously there's no way that can last long without people busting.
I'll go for 555. 5. the .5 being the player(s) who enter then don't bother/ forget about playing then still win every hand when they get to their last few chips.

I can never get my head around the fact that I have been in freerolls that pay out GTD £250; £100 or even £50 and had around 1000 runners on here before (not so much recently) but it still costs you points to enter and rebuys of 50p. The 'Super 6' freerolls were really popular and many regulars, including myself, were v.disappointed when they stopped them and these had many hundreds of entrants for I think was a £250 prize fund.
When Tikay posted the 'Design a Comp' competition with the proviso that it needed to appeal to the masses, I was harping on to some of the entries who were talking about registration fees of £22; £10 etc and I vehemently prattled on stating they would not attract players in great numbers bcoz of the cost to register. I said it needed to be really cheap for them to be attractive in the first place and I can't think of a better tourny that ticks as many boxes as this one, crikey only a £1 to enter ....possiblity of hours of cheap poker if you get thru a few rounds and with the chance of some serious rewards at the end of it......it's an absolute no brainer imo. It has better all round value and appeal than any freeroll (that I can recall) that I have played on here or anywhere else.....£2.5k prize fund.........gr8 value for a quid.............what else could you wish for.
gutted i wanted to play in this.... but because i am out every thursday i can't totally sux Posted by Darlomike
hi mike..............I'm in same position as you (I work shifts and wasn't able to enter the last one) but i may be fortunate this week if i can make it thru to friday........but for a £1, it's not the end of the world if I don't get thru or if i do i still get 4 nights of poker for a quid,......still excellent value.
Prob a dumb Q but what happens on Sat night? If there is say 60 people left from Fri does play stop when there is 30 left and they get paid? YEs I know, I'm being VERY optimistic!! Posted by Glenelg
in the last one only the top six got paid, but there doesn`t seem to be any info on how many this time, but its a cert it wont be half the field at most prob top 10%

they said the payout structure would be similar to that of the sky rollers, as they expect a similar amount of people to be in it
WOW!! Great tourney! I survived! Came 35/158 tonite! REALLY enjoyed it. took a couple of scalps early on and then played VERY conservatively! Threw away pair 10's to an all-in who had AK. (wp Karlluke!)
Tonight's "SURVIVOR" costs £4 to enter, as the price doubles daily.
At present, there are 163 SURVIVORS, & the Prize Pool is shown as £652, so great value for the SURVIVORS.
However, they are chasing a prize pool GUARANTEED to be £2,500, so with, at present, just 163 runners left in, (& today's final total will halve overnight) that's some value per head.
Would be interesting to know how many people bought in for £2 last night. I have a vague recollection that there were about 200 survivors from sunday so to get to 326 (Double the 163 now left) about 120 bought in for £2 last night?

With a quick back of a f a g packet calculation, based on 100 new people buying in (or sateliting if available) tonight and then the new entry numbers halving every night ie 50 new entries tomorrow, 25 thursday etc then prizepool would sneak over £2500 guarantee with 40 odd people in on Saturday
However if there are only 50 new entries tonight and that halves every night to saturday, prizepool achieved would only be £1600 (huge overlay with £2500 guarantee) and 25 odd people in on saturday.

Expect the site's big-guns to buy into the final on Saturday if that's the case.
In Response to Re: Super-Survivor has arrived!: [QUOTE]There seems to be an error. The lobby says the levels should be 7 minutes in length each, but level 1 will be 15 minutes long according to the clock on my table. Posted by GaryQQQ
Gary (& salad, & all).
That would appear to be the case. I've rung The Big Man, & he's having a look under the bonnet, & he said he'll ring me as soon as he's sussed the situation.
Levels 2 and 3 are both 7 minutes as expected, so hopefully it'll all be good from here. (I've gotta be up for work at 1-30am, don't fancy a late one!)

Yes Gary, it appears to have now reverted to the 7 minute mode, & hopefully will remain so.
Even so, we need to know what happened here, & so someone will let you know once it's been investigated.

By the way, don't forget that the "clock" gets progresively longer. It's been 5 minutes so far, but tonight it increases to SEVEN minutes.
Monday had 316 so 109 "bought-in" and 158 survived.
Tuesday has 163 so far I think...
As at 7.05, Tuesday's SURVIVOR has 181, & starts in 25 minutes.
181.......
190......
200........
