8pm Main Events and Cash For Points

edited September 2012 in Poker Chat

Just a quick reminder to everyone about the extra poker points you get for playing the 8pm Main Events. For normal tournaments, you get 10 points for every £1 in fees you pay. However, for our main events, this is greatly increased - you get between 25 and 35 points per pound!

You can see from the table below that if you do play a week of main events, you will get 500 points which is also the first tier of Cash for Points. Therefore, you earn a £5 bonus too. This equates to 29.4% back. You'll get more if you play other tournaments, cash games etc.

If you did this for two weeks, you would get 1,000 points, getting you a £15 bonus. This equates to 44.1% back!

Don't forget you get the full amount of poker points for the main events even if you satellite in, if this involves multiple legs then they are cumulative!

    E.G.

Lets say you satellite your way into the £55 primo via a £12 semi final and a £2.64,micro sat you'd be awarded

1 point for the micro sat
    10 points for the semi
175 points for the Primo (boosted from the normal 50)

= 186 poker points for just £0.24p in fees paid, that's a whopping 700 points per pound (vs the regular 10 points per pound)

    Best Wishes

How come on main events the black message box that comes up after you are knocked out no longer says 'you have been awarded XYZ points', but all other tournies still say this?

Also I have qualified to the VLV final.  I assume that I will be awarded 1000 poker points on the 1£ rake = 10 poker points system.

    Thank you

I was just wondering if the increased poker points were still being paid for the main events.
If so, does the playing primo still earn you 175 points and the SS bounty hunter 100 points?
Also because the buy-ins for the other tournaments have incresed from £22 to £33 do you still get 50 points or is it now 75 points?
